I’ve been caring for a cat for six months with little financial help and the person has only seen the cat three times. Can I legally take over ownership if I want to keep the cat?
Yes. Get a microchip for the cat and register the chip(call the microchip company). A chip is proof of ownership.
So I brought my cats to my moms house the other day. She has one cat and I have two. Her house is infested with bed bugs and I stayed there and I guess they got in my bag and I brought them home. EW! I was up all night killing them and cleaning. I read online that if they can not access human flesh they will go to anything warm blooded and can attach themselves to a cat. If I bring my cats home I’m assuming that I’ll get them again. But is there any products out there that I can use on my cats or should I bring them to get groomed and than being them home?
You can try using flea killing products. That may kill the bed bugs too, but i’m not sure. And you should definitely get your cats groomed before you bring them home because if the bed bugs are attached to their fur, then it will probably cause a slow infestation in your house. You should also suggest that your mom start doing something to kill the bugs. if she sprays the bedroom with sprays at least 3 times a week, they’ll start clearing up although it won’t be permanent. Raid Max Roach Killer works perfectly fine. If you just spray it on and around your mattress. Make sure the kitties are in the other room, though!!
